Health care is the fastest growing industry in this country and most certainly in Rhode Island. The RI Department of Labor and Training forecasts that by 2024 our state will need over 4,000 nurses both, to replace nurses retiring, and to fill a growing need. At the same time, the perennial challenge of keeping high school students engaged and preparing them for these high demand careers remains challenging.

Students who have completed 8th grade may apply for admittance to RINI. We are looking for dedicated and self-motivated students who are committed to a future in nursing. School days will be longer, summer study may be required, and the focus will be on producing college-level work. If this sounds exciting to you, then we want you in our school!

RINI students are afforded a rigorous high school curricula, early college classes, and exposure to the nursing profession. Students entering the 9th grade are allowed to enroll as first year students after successfully completing their 8th grade year at another school. Students who are successful in their first year take a combination of high school and college courses through URI, CCRI, RWU, and RIC during their third and fourth years.
