The RI Nurses Institute Middle College is seeking talented educators to join our team. The RI Nurses Institute Middle College, RINI, is an innovative Rhode Island charter high school founded by the nursing profession in 2011 as a solution to increase the diversity and opportunities for underrepresented racial and ethnic groups in the nursing workforce. It serves students in grades 9-12 in a fully immersed Nursing College and Career Preparation (NCCP) high school curriculum. RINI graduates earn a high school diploma, obtain entry-level patient care licenses, engage in authentic healthcare workforce experiences, and earn college credits that transfer to a post-secondary degree in nursing or other advanced healthcare provider college degree program. There is no other school like it in the country.
Currently, there is an opening for a CNA Coordinator/ Instructor for the 2020-2021 school year. This is a full-time teaching position within the high school program. Opportunities for program expansion and additional teaching or supervisory hours may be available. The ideal candidate will have some long-term nursing care experience and experience teaching in an urban population. RN license required, BSN preferred. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
