It is with great pride that we announce this year’s District Teacher of the Year. This honor goes to a remarkable educator whose unwavering dedication, calm leadership, and genuine compassion make a lasting impact on everyone around her. She exemplifies excellence in teaching, not only through her mastery of subject matter but through the strength of her character. Her calm demeanor creates a safe and welcoming environment for both students and colleagues, and her ability to lead with grace under pressure is nothing short of inspiring.

Highly respected by students and faculty alike, she has built a classroom culture rooted in trust, kindness, and mutual respect. Her rapport with her students is one of her greatest strengths—she listens, she encourages, and she challenges them to rise to their fullest potential. Whether she’s staying late to support a struggling student or stepping in to assist a colleague without hesitation, she does so with an ever-present smile and a spirit of selflessness that elevates our entire school community.

This past year, she demonstrated extraordinary resilience by overcoming a significant health scare. Rather than letting this challenge slow her down, she returned stronger, more determined, and more passionate than ever. Her journey is a powerful reminder of her courage and commitment—not only to her own personal growth but to the continued success of her students. In the midst of it all, she celebrated a joyful milestone, marrying her wonderful and supportive partner, Katherine, and expanding their family with the addition of a beloved dog.

We are truly fortunate to work alongside someone who embodies what it means to be an educator, a mentor, and a friend. Her love for teaching and her commitment to our school shine through in everything she does.
